Henrik Wahlström is a Swedish creative director, artist, and passionate advocate for mental health. His work blends his personal journey with creativity, using art as a powerful tool for self-expression and emotional healing.

His lived experience with bipolar disorder has driven him to create the “Uppochner” ( which translates to Up and Down or Upside Down) campaign, which promotes acceptance and understanding of mental health.

He’s also the author of “Ups and Downs: A Survival Guide for Bipolar Disorder” (english translation of the original title: Uppochner: överlevnadshandbok för bipolär sjukdom), written alongside Dr. Katrin Skogberg Wirén. I am always interested in exploring the creative practice behind artists. Art has evolved into a lifeline for him, and how he uses his creativity to change the conversation around mental health. 

A series of original paintings by Henrik Wahlström will be exhibited art the Nordic Art Agency in the main gallery. A finissage will be held at the gallery on Saturday 3rd of May between 15:00 - 17:00 where Henrik will be in the gallery to discuss his artworks.
