Winter Exhibition 2024

NAA X Winter Exhibition

The concept behind this years curation is the physical manifestation of how the gallery, with its doors, walls, and boundaries, will come alive as a prism. The gallery, acting as the prism, will borrow the white light from the chilly winter outside in Malmö, causing it to explode into the 13 chosen pieces of various media and projections, which represent the constituent colors, creating a spectrum.

This exhibition explores the power of color in its vivid expression, contrasting with the darkness and stillness of white light and the world outside. It engages the spectator with endless possibilities of how light operates, from painting to collective forms, with other media surrounding it. It shows how color leaps from one canvas to another, how it shifts meaning and perception, and how it both attracts and defies. This exhibition captures the exact dynamics that accompany color—color in its simplest definition
